Angelo Santana Eyes New ShoBox Foe, Cardenas is Out

By Rick Reeno

BoxingScene.com has been advised that Carlos Cardenas (20-6-1, 13KOs) suffered a shoulder contusion on Monday, during a sparring session, and withdrew from his scheduled fight with feared lightweight puncher Angelo Santana (14-0, 11KOs). The fight was scheduled to headline next Friday's edition of ShoBox, from Treasure Island Casino in Las Vegas.

Manager Mike Altamura tells BoxingScene that Cardenas was advised by the Mexico City Commission doctor to rest for at least three weeks. Don King, who promotes Santana, is hunting for a late replacement.
It kills me. Angelo should be very active against good competition. He's in Don King's stable, and King's promotions are dying. Don's 81 years old. His company is deteriorating right along with him.
Yeah..you right my friend..
