Angel Garcia, the father/trainer of WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia, is furious over Erik Morales' failed drug test. In an earlier article on BoxingScene.com, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer confirmed that USADA [United States Anti-Doping Agency] found irregularities in a drug test taken by Morales. The two boxers are scheduled to trade punches in a Showtime televised fight on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York

"On Tuesday night, USADA informed us that there were irregularities in a test from Erik Morales," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com. "On Wednesday, USADA informed the respective camps and the [New York State Athletic] Commission as well. This process is going to have to play itself out."

Angel is always outspoken, but this time around the older Garcia is not holding anything back. During the final press conference he called Morales "a cheater." The exact substance that USADA found in Morales' system has yet to be disclosed. Both sides are waiting for the result of Morales' B sample. That result is not expected to return until after the fight..

"I'm not worried about the Morales team, I'm worried about the Garcia team. They know what they did. They know what they did. That's what pisses me off," Angel told BoxingScene.com.

"This morning, [Danny] told me 'Pop, before I just wanted to beat Morales but now I want to whoop Morales' ass' - because of what I'm telling you."
