Angel Garcia, the father and trainer of WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (24-0, 15KOs), would have advised former four division beltholder Erik Morales (52-8, 36KOs) to retire from boxing months ago.

Morales will face Garcia in a rematch on October 20th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Showtime will televise.

In their March meeting, Garcia dropped Morales in the eleventh round and won a twelve round unanimous decision. Prior to the fight, Morales struggled with weight and couldn't get under 142-pounds.

Angel doesn't expect Morales to last more than five rounds in the rematch.

"I say five rounds, Danny said four. I say five to be nice to Morales. Danny said four so that means he's really going to do his thing. I seen a picture not too long ago when Danny was in New York....when they were taking pictures together, doing a photo shoot.....I didn't realize he was that big. I thought they were making fun of him, when they a make picture of you to make fun of you," Angel told BoxingScene.com.

"When you can't even walk around at 150 - that's bad. He walks around at 180. I don't know if he needs the money and just making people think that he wants to come back. I don't know if it's financially, but I wouldn't let him fight. I would tell him 'your days are over.'
morales exercised his rematch clause. war morales!
Oh, in that case he should probably have retired. But he'll put up a hell of a fight

I don't really think the Garcias wanted this rematch but it is what it is and Morales has activated the rematch clause. I think Garcia wins it but it is going to be a harder fight than first time round.
