Angel Garcia Erupts and Drops Bombs on Lucas Matthysse

By Rick Reeno

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Angel Garcia, the father and trainer of WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (26-0, 16KOs), was furious at Thursday's final press conference, dropping a series of bombs at mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs) of Argentina. The two fighters will collide on Saturday night as the co-feature to the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Saul Alvarez Showtime Pay-Per-View event. Garcia shredded Matthysse's record, his level of opposition and the fact that most experts are picking Matthysse to win by knockout.

“Everybody wants to have their Argentine flags out, but they forget where they live at. We represent the USA. Danny is an American fighter. Background is Puerto Rican and I'm Puerto Rican. They say the American fighters can't fight. The USA gets no props. The same country that sends the welfare check to you.  You get that check and sign it don't you, then you want to be an Americanito.,” Angel Garcia said.

“He fought nothing.. He fought 32 guys he was supposed to knock out. Danny fought 26 guys he was supposed to lose to. Danny wasn't pampered in this game. [Matthysse] fought four guys that you would know and two of them beat him. If he thinks he’s  going to come over to the USA and take their belt back to Argentina, where it don’t belong, if he thinks he’s going to come over to the USA dn just hit Danny with a two-piece – he has a long night coming. I don’t train Danny like any opponent, I train Danny like a champion.  Mike Dallas took that fight [with Matthysse] on late notice. He might have needed the money, we don’t know his life. He knocks him out and they ‘oh, Superman arrived’. Then he knocks out Peterson and they say ‘oh sh*t, Aquaman is back.’  That won’t happen with the champ of the world.”

"They trying to make it like Zab didn’t beat him and Alexander didn’t beat him. If Zab would have been in shape, like he was for Danny, because of my big mouth. My big mouth brought ten years out of Zab. He fought Danny on his A-game. If he would have been in shape for him like he was for Danny, he would have destroyed Matthysse. "

"[Speaking to Matthysse], you can laugh all you want, you and your raggedy-ass sweatsuit. You making $800,000 dollars and how much you taking home….$200,000? Because those same guys  will take it all from you. Can’t even afford a sweatsuit and you think you’re going to beat the champ of the world? These opponents come from overseas and think they are going to take what's ours. We are all immigrants, but my family gave blood for this country and that makes us more American. They say Americans can't fight, yes they can fight."
Angel Garcia trash talks to hype up a fight and he's called "ignorant and classless" by the haters. When Floyd or Broner do it these same guys say it's "genius marketing strategy" LoL
It's not simply "trash talk" when you're…

I have been trying to figure out why Angel Garcia produces these ignorant Verbal rants. I have come to the conclusion that it's a result of a small mind and the fact that he is not completely human.

I am glad that Angels is going to be just feet away watching Matthysse dropping bombs on his son. Too bad he won't catch any shrapnel.
