Andy Gardiner Inks Contract With Eye of The Tiger

Montreal - Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM) kicked off 2014 by adding an exciting addition to their roster. Andy Gardiner, managed and trained by Final Round Boxing’s Eric Belanger, made a lot of noise in the light heavyweight division in 2013 remaining undefeated at 10-0. After 4 bouts in for 2013, Gardiner not only remained undefeated but never failed to entertain the fans in providing exciting bouts vs high class opposition. His relentless demeanor in the ring and willingness to take risks so early in his career has earned him the prospect of the year award by Canadian Boxiana and most interesting style award by 12rounds.ca.

Gardiners all action style and willingness to bleed in the ring has had him compared to a real life Rocky as well as a style reminiscent of the late Arturo Gatti with a bob and weave mix of Joe Frazier. With EOTTM’s current top prospects being stylists such as # 1 ranked Dierry Jean and #1 ranked Heavyweight Bermane Stiverne, it is only fitting for the organization to add an all action prospect such as Gardiner to fit the Eye of the Tiger name.

“Andy was always part of the team. Now it’s just official”, says Camille Estephan, CEO of EOTTM. “I am very excited for Andy’s future. If you’ve seen Andy fight, you know there are a lot of exciting fights in the future for him and he will be mentioned with the top Light heavyweights in the world in no time. He’s a really fun kid in and out of the ring. He fits into the team really well and we’re all excited about having him with us long term. Who doesn’t love Rocky!”, laughs Estephan.

As for Gardiner, this is all business. “It’s exciting for me. Camille has always treated me well and I couldn’t think of a better team to be part of. The good guys in boxing are rare to come across so I am very happy to be part of a team I can trust and I can just focus on doing my part of the job and entertaining you guys. 2014 will be another big year for me”

With a multi-year agreement in place and the number of shows ahead for EOTTM, it is expected we’ll see Gardiner continue a busy schedule right here in our back yard. Current schedule has Gardiner back in action February 5th at the New City Gas in Montreal and again March 28th at the Casino Lac Leamy in Gatineau vs opponents to be announced.
