Sources in the UK have advised BoxingScene.com that there is some discuss for a light heavyweight showdown between Andrzej Fonfara (27-3, 16KOs) and Nathan Cleverly (29-2, 15KOs). The fight is being targeted for a fall date in the United States.

After a brief stint in the cruiserweight division, Cleverly - a former WBO world champion - dropped back to light heavyweight last month with a first round blowout of Tomas Man. His only loss at light heavyweight was to Sergey Kovalev in 2013.

Fonfara got one of his biggest wins in April, when he pulled off a one-sided ninth round stoppage of a comebacking Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The network is unknown. In recent months, promoter Eddie Hearn (has Cleverly) and manager/adviser Al Haymon (has Fonfara) have done a lot of business together by putting together several fights like James DeGale vs. Andre Dirrell, Kell Brook vs. JoJo Dan, Omar Figueroa vs. Ricky Burns, and Tomoki Kameda vs. Jamie McDonnell.
