Super middleweight king Andre Ward's trainer and mentor, Virgil Hunter, was ringside Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London. He watched the second fight between Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler, which the British boxer won with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 118-110. Afterwards, Froch called for a rematch with Ward, who beat the British boxer in 2011. Ward's trainer was far from impressed and felt the Danish veteran was the sharper, better boxer of the two.

"I scored the fight a draw. I think Kessler had the cleanest punches. The crowd made Froch's work seem more effective than it really was. I have a trained eye. I saw what happened. It was bad luck for Kessler," Hunter said to Denmark's Reuters.

Ward hasn't fought in almost a year and likely will never fight again. Remove him from the #1 or #2 spot, he has lost his belts from inactivity and he is on the verge of having his career play out like Dirrell's did.

Hunter is being disingenuous with the Froch-Kessler scorecards.

Don't know about a draw, but I had it a one point win for Froch. Hunter is right though, Kessler was a he!!uva lot more accurate. Too bad he wasn't just a little busier. But he has nothing to be ashamed of. Part III in Denmark would tell alot. As for Froch, he's all pumped up now, but I'd imagine...
It's the latter...
Yeah, I think you're spot on in that case. She does have the Abril score in her favour, but otherwise it seems she's swayed easily for who's supposed to win.

I was jumping out of my seat when Kessler landed that straight right hand while taking a step back. I can't remember seeing Froch hurt like that before since Taylor zapped him twice in the 3rd round. I wish he used his uppercut more. Froch was open for it most of the time.
