Andre Ward: Shakur's Potential Fight In June Not Official, But He Will Be Ready

Whether on June 9 or a date more in line with finalized testing standards, Shakur Stevenson will be ready to fight. At least that much has always been assured by his management team, which consists of James Prince, Josh Dubin (also Stevenson’s attorney) and former unbeaten two-division champion Andre Ward. That very competitive drive was among the key reasons the aforementioned trio eagerly signed the 2016 Olympic Silver medalist and current unbeaten featherweight titlist.

ESPN Broadcast Team Vehemently Opposed To Remote Judging

A recent proposal for judges to score fights from a remote location is not at all going over well with the boxing community. It also doesn’t figure to be part of ESPN’s plans for its upcoming televised events. The suggestion has been made by the World Boxing Council (WBC), who introduced the plan to BoxingScene.com and other media outlets during a recent panel discussion regarding essential personnel on hand for boxing events.

Last year, Miller was scheduled to fight IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in June at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Before the fight took place, Miller tested positive for several banned performance enhancers and he was pulled from the fight.
