Former super middleweight king Andre Ward (30-0, 15KOs) is aiming to put on a showcase when he faces IBF/WBO/WBA light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0, 26KOs) on November 19th, as the headline bout of an HBO Pay-Per-View event.

Ward was in action on Saturday night, when he dominated Alexander Brand over twelve rounds at The Oracle in Oakland, California. Kovalev was in action last month, when he won a twelve round decision over Isaac Chilemba in Russia.

The venue for Ward-Kovalev was going to be the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, but now there might be a switch as the promoters - Roc Nation Sports and Main Events - have yet to confirm the location.

Ward believes his legacy has already been established. He dominated the super middleweight ranks and won the prestigious Super Six tournament several years ago - where he defeated the likes of Carl Froch, Arthur Abraham, Mikkel Kessler, Allan Green and Sakio Bika during that run.

The Olympic gold medal winner is mentally ready for what many experts views as the most anticipated fight of 2016. The winner will certainly become the best pound for pound fighter in the sport.

"I think that I've accomplished enough that no matter what happens in the fight my legacy is set. That's the reality of the situation, but that's not how it's going to be viewed [by me]. This is a career defining fight. That's the kind of pressure I put on myself. There is no reason on why I shouldn't be able to get that task handled. That takes nothing away from Sergey Kovalev, because he's everything that people say he is," Ward said.
