WBC/WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs), who returns on January 26th against Kelly Pavlik, is open to the idea of a rematch with Carl Froch (30-2, 22KOs), the current IBF beltholder at 168-pounds. Ward beat Froch in 2011 in the final fight of the Super Six super middleweight tournament in Atlantic City.

Froch is contractually bound to a rematch with Lucian Bute on a March/April date in Montreal. Froch promises a different fight if he lands a rematch with Ward, who also expects a different tempo in a second bout.

"He (Froch) seems to think he got a raw deal or the fight was closer than it really was, so why not give him another opportunity?" Ward told BBC Sport. "Carl put up a good fight but the fight was not as close as he's saying it was. But I also went in there injured with a broken hand and he has to understand that fully healthy it's going to be a totally different fight."

Froch needs to make Kessler his first priority.

I think Ward might be koed by Froch. Ward have a suspect chin, but it's a great fight. I will love to see it. I think it's 50-50. Ward is like a poor man's Hopkins and Froch is like a homeless man's Saad Muhammad(for those of you who knows about MSM)

On the Herts and Essex Observer. CO. UK ■ Eddie Hearn → november 18, 2012 "I just can't see Bute's camp wanting to take the fight after his own performance against Denis Grachev last time and Carl's performance," Hearn said. "If we fight Bute then we need to ask for an excepti...

Eddie Hearn should think twice before vacating the IBF Belt. Just because they know, Big Adonis is coming to take it anyhow... Team Froch shouldn't be afraid like that, because if Froch team decide to sacrifice this belt: Bute clan will cancel the contract for the second fight. ► Wh...

if Froch rematches Kessler and wins, i'd like him to have another go at Ward. Cant see the result being any different regardless of where its held, but Froch will hold wins over the 2 best SMWs not called Ward since his defeat to him. He'd be better qualified for a fight against Ward than anyone ...
