Andre Ward: A lot of People Telling Me To Shut Froch Up!

By Kevin Francis, courtesy of The Daily Star

CARL FROCH’S next opponent has vowed to “shut him up for good” when they meet in their world unification bout.

After watching Carl Froch outpoint Glen Johnson, 27-year-old American Andre Ward said: “The fans have always wanted to see me facing Carl Froch.

“And that is no disrespect to anyone else in the Super Six. It is just the business of the sport.

“A lot of it is due to Carl Froch talking a lot. A lot of people come up to me and say ‘Please shut Froch up for good when you meet him’.

“But, whatever people say about him, he has been doing a great job in this tournament – even though he does a lot of trash talking about his opponents.

“I think he is a good guy who has always showed me respect whenever we have met.

“I have found no problem but I know that some guys like him and some guys don’t. Me? Let’s just say I will do my talking in the ring.”
