| Andre Ward-Kelly Pavlik Rescheduled To February 23
By Mike Coppinger According to sources, the Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs) vs. Kelly Pavlik (40-2, 34KOs) super middleweight fight has been rescheduled for Feb. 23 at The Galen Center in Los Angeles on HBO. They were originally slated to fight on Jan. 26, before Ward was forced to withdraw, citing a shoulder injury. The co-feature will still be a WBC heavyweight eliminator between Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne. Mike Coppinger is a contributor to USA TODAY's boxing coverage. Good to know that the fight was not pushed any further back. If Ward is going to be having a 'softer' challenge, he may just get it out of the way asap. |

Feb. 23rd??...That's odd, because that's Ward's birthday, he'll be turning 29. I mean, I'm sure there's been other fighters who've fought on their b-day's, but on this high of a stage etc. It's just funny. |

Didn't think it would be rescheduled. It'll be another Dawson fight. |
