Super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell (19-1, 13KOs) advised BoxingScene.com that he plans to return in late October or early November, with ESPN televising the fight. Dirrell has been inactive while rehabilitating a head injury, which he suffered in his March 2010 Super Six bout with Arthur Abraham. During the eleventh round, Dirrell slipped to the canvas and Abraham punched him while he was down. The blow knocked Dirrell out and got Abraham disqualified. The post-fight injuries forced Dirrell to withdraw from the Super Six tournament.

"I'm just as anxious to get in there as people are anxious to see me. We're just working on a TV spot and ESPN is looking like that's where we're going to land. We're in negotiations with the big time companies right now, Showtime and HBO. But this is a warm-up fight, so ESPN gracefully accepted me so I'm really looking forward to that. Hopefully we can get that TV date down for late October or very, very early November," Dirrell told BoxingScene.com.
