On the undercard of Paul Williams-Carlos Quintana at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California, welterweight contender Andre Berto (21-0, 18 KOs) battered Michel Trabant (43-3, 19KOs) on route to a sixth-round technical knockout.

The damage Berto was inflicting was brutal to watch. Berto's quick uppercuts were knocking Trabant's head all the way back. Trabant stayed on the defensive for the entire fight with Berto landing a variety of punches from all angles

In the fifth and sixth rounds, Trabant was barely able to land a single punch, he was too busy taking punches to the head. Trabant told the referee after six-rounds that he was no longer willing to continue with the fight. Trabant had never been stopped in his career.

Trabant definitely looked like a guy last night that was in above his head. It seemed he was surviving rather than fighting, but Berto did what he had to do. His hand and offensive variety is good. Maybe a few more shots to the body, but he pretty much showed everything offensively last night....
It took him alot of extremely clean hard punches to get Trabant out of there though. His power might not be as great as some are rating. and it's pretty hard to mount any kind of successfull defense if your Trabant who's punches couldn't at all hurt Berto. He really need...
