BoxingScene.com has been advised by multiple sources that welterweight contender Josesito Lopez (32-6) is a leading candidate to be former junior welterweight champion Amir Khan's December opponent although a final decision has not yet been made.
Lopez has won two fights in a row since being stopped in back to back fights against Canelo Alvarez and Marcos Maidana. Lopez first must win and come out of his tune up fight unscathed on Thursday evening against an opponent that is still to be determined. Lopez's fight will be televised by FoxSports and take place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Khan last fought in May when he dominated Luis Collazo over 12 rounds on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana 1 undercard.
