If WBO/WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is planning to fight in September - it won't be against Amir Khan.

After the match, Mayweather stated that he wants to fight in September to close out his CBS/Showtime contract.

Leonard Ellerbe, adviser to Mayweather, spoke to Amir Khan (30-3, 19KOs) after the contest. Khan said Ellerbe is interested in making a fight, but September won't work because Khan will be fasting for Ramadan - which is why Khan didn't fight Mayweather last September.

"I think I know how to beat him and I'd be ready for  him," Khan told Mlive.com. "September, I can't do. That hasn't changed. But I talked to Leonard Ellerbe after the fight and I know they're interested. It just depends on the schedule."

Khan is back on May 29th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, when he faces Chris Algieri in a Spike TV televised fight.
