AMIR KHAN will speak to British boxing legend Ricky Hatton ahead of his return to the ring on May 3 against Luis Collazo in Las Vegas.
Hatton went the full 12 rounds against American Collazo in 2007 - winning by a unanimous decision - on his way to a super fight with Floyd Mayweather which he ultimately went onto lose.
Khan, 27, saw his hopes of facing Mayweather left in tatters when the world's best pound-for-pound fighter opted to face Adrien Broner's conquer, Marcos Maidana.
The Brit, whose bout with Collazo will be on the undercard of Mayweather v Maidana, is ready to enlist the help of the hitman to ensure it is winning return to the squared circle.
"Yeah, I think it would be good to speak to Ricky," Khan said.
"I leave to go back to America tomorrow. I speak to Ricky quite often anyway. But he has been in the ring with him, he is going to know exactly what to do and how to beat him.
"I definitely think it will be nice to sit down with Ricky and have a chat with him. So I will probably do that in the next couple of days."
Khan has not fought since beating Julio Diaz on points in April of last year and the clash with Collazo will mark his first fight at 147lbs.
