Amir Khan Fully Focused on Career After Reconciling With Wife

Former world champion Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs) is now fully focused on his career, says the boxer, after getting back together with his estranged wife Faryal Makhdoom - following a bitter break-up earlier this year.

Amir confirmed the couple's reconciliation after posting a photo of the pair cuddled up on a sofa.

The former champ captioned the photo: "With my 4 month pregnant wife, after sorting out all the issues. Closing the year with a happy ending."

The reconciliation follows weeks of explosive, high-profile drama.

It comes just weeks after Faryal, who is three months pregnant with her second child, tried to make amends with her sportsman husband.

But he snubbed the gesture, choosing instead to party with Brazilian model Bella Gusmao, last week.

The pair were spotted outside a shisha bar in London on Thursday night, where they jumped into a taxi before stopping outside a nearby hotel. Interestingly, the brunette beauty - who wore thigh-high black boots paired with a camo jacket - was spotted carrying a single rose as they chatted on the pavement.

The drama first began in August, after Khan took to social media to announce that he was getting a divorce and accused his wife of having an affair with IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Joshua quickly denied the accusation. Khan would later admit he was wrong and apologized to the heavyweight champ.

Khan has been out of the ring since May of 2016, when he moved up to 155-pounds and was knocked out in six rounds by then WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the first ever boxing event to be held in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

A planned fight with Manny Pacquiao in April fell apart after the investors failed to come up with the promised funds to stage the event in UAE.

There were plans for Khan to fight before the end of the year, but his return appears to be heading to a date in the first quarter of 2018.
