If you ask Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, his upcoming title defense against Kermit Cintron this weekend marks the toughest fight of his young career.

A training camp insider advised BoxingScene.com that former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley spent a few days in Kermit Cintron's training camp, helping him prepare for Saturday's fight with WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (38-0-1, 28KOs). The HBO televised fight takes place at Monumental Plaza de Toros in Mexico City, Mexico. Mosley provided Cintron (33-4-1, 28KOs) with some quality sparring at trainer Ronnie Shields' gym in Houston, Texas.

Nine weeks of hard training in Houston, plus two weeks in Mexico City, are optimal for Puerto Rico's Kermit Cintron, who challenges Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for the junior middleweight championship of the World Boxing Council (WBC). Cintron has arrived early to Mexico City to acclimatise to the conditions of this city.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez continues to push himself in camp, as he prepares for his scheduled defense of the WBC junior middleweight title against former champion Kermit Cintron, which takes place on the 26th of November at the Monumental Plaza Mexico. Training in his native Jalisco, Canelo is being supervised by Chepo and Edison Reynoso. Canelo has been sparring for six rounds with Nobuhiro Ishida and undefeated prospect Gilberto Ramirez.

At the historic Plaza Mexico, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will appear as the star attraction on November 26th. The venue change came after a recommendation from Don Jose Sulaiman, president of World Boxing Council, who said the organizers should stage the fight Plaza Mexico in order to allow the Mexican people to be closer to the new star of the sport. Mexican icons like Humberto "Chiquita" Gonzalez and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. have fought in the venue. Alvarez will defend his WBC junior middleweight title against Kermit Cintron. Tickets will go on sale this Wednesday through ticketmaster and costs range from 200 to 3000 pesos.

There are very few trainers in the sport who consistently seem connected to as many talented pugs as Ronnie Shields. Putting in his work in Houston, Texas, the former junior welterweight title challenger has worked with the likes of Juan ‘Baby Bull’ Diaz, Mike Tyson, Pernell Whitaker and David Tua while presently honing the skills of former champion Kermit Cintron, Erislandy Lara, light heavyweight prospect Mike Lee, interim WBA junior featherweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, and unbeaten super middleweight Edwin Rodriguez, amongst others.

Although most of the Mexicans were celebrated the 'Day of The Dead,' Saul "Canelo" Alvarez did not stop training because in three weeks he defends his WBC 154-pound title against Puerto Rican puncher Kermit Cintron, taking place on the 26th of November at the Expo Bancomer Santa Fe, located in Mexico City. Alvarez was training this week in the capital of Jalisco.

BoxingScene.com has been informed that Pedro Pulido, the attorney for IBF junior flyweight champion Archie Solis, will move for an immediate suspension of Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's boxing license. On October 25th, Alvarez, the WBC's champion at 154-pounds, allegedly confronted Solis at a local running ground in Guadalajara, Mexico, where both of them were training.

Jalisco, Mexico - WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez prepares for his third title defense, taking place on November 26th against former champ Kermit Cintron. They came, they heard, they kept things as-is. The World Boxing Council followed up on its promise to attend the Wednesday press conference formally announcing Saul “Canelo” Alvarez’ super welterweight title defense versus Kermit Cintron, which takes place November 26 in Mexico. While their purpose wasn’t simply to pine for the fight, it was all that really came out of the afternoon. A brief investigation of the reported incident alleging Alvarez’ involvement in a vicious street fight with junior flyweight titlist Ulises “Archie” Solis left the WBC no further along than when the day began, other than obtaining Alvarez’ side of the story.
