By Ryan Maquinana

A source close to the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that a deal is close for junior middleweight contender Alfredo "Perro" Angulo (21-2, 18KOs) to face Delvin Rodriguez (26-6-3, 14KOs) on December 15th at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. The Showtime televised card is headlined by Amir Khan vs. Carlos  Molina.

Angulo returned to action on November 10th and crushed Raul Casarez in 56 seconds of the first round. Rodriguez was last seen in the ring on June 2, losing a twelve round unanimous decision to WBA "regular" champion Austin Trout.
