Alfredo Angulo Heading To Golden Boy After Shaw Deal

By Rick Reeno

Promoter Gary Shaw has advised BoxingScene.com that he reached a financial agreement with Golden Boy Promotions to take over the promotional rights to junior middleweight contender Alfredo Angulo (19-1, 6KOs).

"I reached a financial agreement with Golden Boy and I no longer represent Alfredo Angulo," Shaw disclosed to BoxingScene.com.

Shaw and Angulo have not spoken to each other in months and their relationship became very strained. Angulo has been inactive since last July due to a visa issue that currently prevents him from fighting in the United States. Angulo is finally scheduled to return on August 20th in Mexicali against Joseph Gomez.

I guess Golden Boy has to get all the fighters so us fans can get the fights that we all want to watch.
