Alfonso Gomez Not Worried: Expects To KO Canelo

By Jhonny Gonzalez

Contender star Alfonso Gomez (23-4-2, 12KOs) is not worried about a posisble hostile crowd when he faces undefeated Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on September 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. For weeks, Canelo's team has been pushing very hard to secure Gomez as the opponent for the scheduled date in September. The fight is done, according to Gomez, but not yet confirmed by Canelo's team. A source from Alvarez's promoter, Golden Boy, said the fight is "pretty much done."

Gomez vowed "I'm going to win by knockout, so say your goodbyes [to Canelo]."
