Alexander-Matthysse Deal Reached For June 25 Bout

By Jhonny Gonzalez

According to news agency EFE, Lucas Matthysse (28-1, 26KOs) has been confirmed to return on June 25 against former junior welterweight champion Devon Alexander (21-1, 13 KOs). Both boxers return from high profile defeats. Alexander lost a ten round technical decision to Timothy Bradley in a January unification clash. Matthysse lost a decision to Zab Judah in November, although he returned in a January tune-up to knock DeMarcus Corley out in eight rounds. American network HBO will televise the fight.
