Devon Alexander (27-4, 14 KOs) is training hard in camp for his upcoming fight with fellow former welterweight champion, Victor Ortiz (32-6-2, 25 KOs ).

The contest take place on February 17 from Don Haskins Center on the UTEP campus in El Paso, Texas with televised coverage starting on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Three fights back, Alexander lost a twelve round decision to another fighter who scheduled to return after a long layoff, British superstar Amir Khan (31-4, 19 KOs).

Khan's return is going to take place on April 21 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

He's been out of the ring since May of 2016, when he moved up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds and suffered a sixth round knockout at the hands of then WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

The main fight for Khan is a domestic showdown with former welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-2, 25 KOs), who returns on in March in his junior middleweight debut against Sergey Rabchenko.

A Khan vs. Brook showdown has been discussed for several years, but it appears to be closer than ever after Khan signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn, who also promotes Brook.

While some believe their contest has lost some fire, Alexander feels the contest is still a big fight.

And the win will go to whoever can expose the flaw of the other, says Alexander.

Khan has been knocked out several times and Brook's two defeats were partially attributed to suffering fractured orbital bones during the fight.

"I think it will still be a big fight over there where they’re at. I think it will definitely be a big fight in England for him. Who wins the fight? Both of them have flaws. Kell Brook’s eye is susceptible to injury and Amir Khan’s chin is just not there," Alexander told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.

"It’s just whoever can target each others weaknesses. Kell Brook’s weakness is his eye and Khan is his chin. Whoever can reach whoever’s weakness first is going to win that fight."
