Aidos Yerbossynuly: record, next fight and profile →
Former cruiserweight titlist Denis Lebedev returns to the ring after a brief retirement, facing veteran contender Thabiso Mchunu. Their scheduled 12-round World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver cruiserweight title fight takes place Saturday evening at Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
World ranked and current WBO Global and WBC Asia super middleweight champion, Aidos Yerbosynuly (10-0, 8 KOs), will defend his titles and will compete for the WBA international title, against Namibian contender, Lucas Ndafolum (15-1, 6 KOs), on a special night of international boxing action, on March 24, at the Almaty Arena, in the cosmopolitan city of Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Alex Khanas of Fight Promotions Inc. staged a nice-packed little show at the Circus in Kryviy Rih, Ukraine, deeply filled with amateur talent and some more recognizable names, which ended just moments ago. In the main event, rising middleweight star Ievgen Khytrov (12-0, 11 KOs) produced a very strong candidate for knockout of 2015, when he almost beheaded American import Josh Luteran (14-3, 9 KOs) in round two with a scary right hook to the jaw. Luteran, 30, went down face-first being unconscious even before he hit the canvas. He was down for several frightening minutes before regaining consiousness.
Max Alperovich the head of Fight Promotions has advised BoxingScene.com that they have signed three more fighters to promotional contracts. Denys Iazarev from the Ukraine, Petr Chaban from Moldova and Aidos Yerbossunuly from Kazakhstan will be making their professional debut under their banner. "September 26th I'm putting together a show in Ukraine," said Alperovich.
