Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer advised BoxingScene.com that undefeated super featherweight contender Adrien Broner (21-0, 17KOs) will still fight on the HBO televised date of November 26th in Cincinnati. Originally, Broner was scheduled to face WBO champion Ricky Burns (39-2, 9KOs) - but the Scottish boxer vacated his title and plans to face Michael Katsidis in a WBO interim-lightweight title bout on November 11th.

There has been some discussion about Broner facing another Golden Boy promoted boxer, Eloy Perez (22-0, 6KOs), but there may not be enough money on the table to make that fight happen. Perez's team is reportedly asking for a sizable sum.

"Adrien Broner will still fight on November 26 for the vacant WBO title. I'm speaking with [WBO President] Paco [Valcarcel] to find out who they would approve [to fight Broner for the title]," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com.

All of that kind of talk is suspect gay behavior....
sucks the burns fight didnt go thru. cant believe the guy vacated instead of having one more fight at sfw.
Burns did it on purpose because he knows Broner would put a one-sided beat down on him. Frank Warren and Burns are hoping Katsidis is way past his best so they ...

What an utterly **** division. The WBO rankings are pathetic and it's pretty much guaranteed that Broner fights the Terdsak. Terdsak, a veteran of almost 50 fights, earned the right by beating a man making his career debut in his last fight.
