Former three division world champion Adrien Broner is looking to face Lucas Matthysse in the next chapter of his junior welterweight quest. This Saturday night at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Broner and Matthysse will appear in separate Showtime televised fights.

Broner (28-1, 22 KOs) will face Emmanuel Taylor (18-2, 12 KOs) in the Showtime main event, while Lucas “La Maquina” Matthysse (35-3, 33 KOs) will square off with Mexico’s unbeaten Roberto “Massa” Ortiz (31-0-1, 24 KOs) in a 12-round bout for Ortiz’s WBC Silver Super Lightweight Title.

“This isn’t a joke.  There should be three winners on Saturday: two ABs (Adrien Broner and Andre Berto) and then my next opponent, Lucas Matthysse.  That’s what’s happening," Broner said  “(Taylor) knows what he’s in for.  Everybody knows what they’re in for when they fight a guy like me.  But, at the end of the day, I’m going to be victorious."
