Adrien Broner, who was in Washington, D.C., at the Amir Khan-Lamont Peterson weigh-in, spoke briefly to reporters about his Feb. 25 fight with Eloy Perez.

As reported by BoxingScene’s Ryan Maquiñana, Broner-Perez will take place in St. Louis on the undercard to Devon Alexander vs. Marcos Maidana.

Q: What do you think of the fight with Perez?

Broner: “I’m going to have fun.”

Q: What can you show against him?

Broner: “The styles. He tries to be somebody that I think that he’s not. At the end of the day, he’s a Mexican.”

Q: What do you mean?

Broner: “Come on, man. I’m from Cincinnati, man. I’m flashy, man. It gets no better than this.”

Q: What’s your prediction for the fight?

Broner: “Don’t go and get no popcorn.”

Q: How soon is this fight going to end?

Broner: “I can’t give you a round, but it can end early. It will end early.”

I think Broner would win but it wouldn't end early. I wouldn't count out Eloy Perez.

I was extremely surprised at how he fought against poncedeleon, who doesn't have the speed or skill as broner. I honestly think he felt deleon's power and then tried to play it safe and not get caught. I agree he is getting matched against fighters he will look good against(slow and limited)..I l...
