Less than 24 hours after posting his most recent win, Adrian Estrella already has his next opponent lined up. The undefeated knockout artist will next face free-swinging former title challenger Dante Jardon on June 28 in Mexico.
"The negotiations were long, but we've always had a good relationship with the promoters of Jardón and they are also interested in making good fights so we had no problem getting a deal," informed Reginald Küchle of Promociones del Pueblo.
A location is still being sought, though the city of Monterrey is under heavy consideration to host what figures to be an all-action shootout.
Estrella racked up his 17th knockout in as many pro fights with a 3rd round stoppage of Balweg Bangoyan on Saturday night in Apodaca, Mexico. The rising super featherweight prospect is targeted by his promoter as the face of the company in regards to its immediate future and beyond in the sport.
"The sky's the limit for Adrian 'Diamante' Estrella," insists Oswaldo Küchle. "From boxing to novelas to his looks, he's quickly becoming a superstar in Mexico. A big puncher like Dante Jardon is the step up we are looking for as we continue to move Adrian up the ranks and towards a title shot."
Televisa will likely televise the event, given Promociones del Pueblo's tremendous relationship with the Mexican network giant.
