Adonis Stevenson Stops Noe Gonzalez in Two Rounds
Bell Centre, Monteal - Adonis Stevenson (18-1, 15KOs) stopped Noe Gonzalez (28-2, 20KOs) in two rounds to walk away with the IBF Inter-Continental, WBC Silver, NABO and NABA super middleweight titles.
Stevenson was aggressive in the first round, but in the second he really let his hands go. Stevenson stunned Gonzalez with a combination of punches at close range, and let his hands go with Gonzalez pinned against the ropes. The referee jumped in to wave it off, but the stoppage seemed to be a little too fast.
