A few days ago, WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk (48-2-1, 34 KOs) said he was open to the idea of moving up to the heavyweight division to face countryman Tomasz Adamek (48-2, 29 KOs), a former champion at 175 and 200-pounds. For the moment, Adamek does not express the same kind of interest in facing his compatriot. If there was a million dollars on the table, Adamek says the opportunity would be tempting but he doesn't expect a match with Wlodarczyk to come close to that amount - even in Poland.

"Boxing is my profession. I am 36-years-old and my career is coming to an end, so I have to take care of my family. In addition, a fight between the two of us would not come close to a [million dollar purse], and even in Poland this type of money is not available [for this fight]. Yes, I know, the fight against Vitali Klitschko got more [than that amount], but with all due respect to Krzysztof - the fight with Vitali was between two of the best heavyweights in the world. At stake was the WBC title, and I was undefeated at heavyweight. There is no chance that our fight would arouse such interest, and thus, generate such a profit," Adamek said.
