Former two division champion Tomasz Adamek (49-2, 29KOs) is taking his next fight very seriously. He faces undefeated heavyweight contender Vyacheslav Glazkov (15-0-1, 11KOs) on November 16th. Glazkov is a big puncher from Ukraine and looking to make a statement with Adamek, who captured titles at light heavyweight and cruiserweight. The two fighters had at one time sparred each other. NBC Sports will televise the match.
"Glazkov is a young Ukrainian boxer who wants to become a good heavyweight. I know him from a joint training camp we had before he last event [when I fought]. He is fast, hits hard, has good footwork and a number of other advantages which are necessary in the ring. His style guarantees a good show for the fans of boxing," Adamek said.
"Glazkov has a similar height and similar build to myself. He is agile is like a cobra. I do not underestimate him, because in his last fight he quickly defeated his opponent by knockout. For sure I'll have to watch out for his power punches. He will be very motivated because beating me will give him well-known media coverage and promotion. I'll do everything to stop his plans."
"In the last few days, a number of fighters have asked to fight me - but Arreola, Tarver and others will have to wait until next year. During this time, it must be examined whether these fights have meaning and what television stations may be involved in the show."Luke Furman covers boxing for bokser.org
