28-year old French middleweight Karim Achour, 21-4-3 and 6-0-1 in his last seven, tested positive for a bidden substance on October 31 when defending the EU title against Moez Fhima.
Achor has now been suspended by the EBU for two years beginning from the date of his title defense. As expected, he´s also stripped of the EU title.
Offical challenger Emanuele Blandamura will fight highest ranked available challenger for the vacant title.
