The hard-hitting puncher of Salta, Argentina - Luis Carlos Abregu (33-1, 27KO's) - is in the final stage of his preparation for the scheduled fight against Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Thomas Dulorme (16-0, 12KO's ). The fight will headline an HBO televised tripleheader on October 27 at Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York. Abregu has only lost one fight, by decision, to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

"Everything is going great. I've been working at 100% and I'm ready for the big fight. We will win and we are grateful for the opportunity to be on HBO. We want to be a world champion and come with everything to gain. [Dulorme] is a guy who comes prepared. He is a good prospect that is promising, but I realize that he's never faced anyone like me, and he is not at my level. He will not withstand my pressure," Abregu said.

"We saw some things through YouTube. We saw some mistakes and we will explore them in the fight. He definitely has talent and but I do not think he is at Bradley's level, yet. In the Bradley fight, I had a bad right hand and I could not fight my fight. Now everything is good, I'm healthy and ready for this great opportunity. I worked hard in the gym and I'm sure that he will not withstand the pressure from a fighter on my level."

Abregu is a live dog. If Dulorme doesn't come with it it could be a short night for him.

This is a very underrated fight. Dulorme is a switch hitter who can punch from either stance. A very talented kid. Abregu is just tough as nails. I like this fight.

But Dulorme is like poetry in motion and is humble and studies and educates himself outside of Boxing. I hope he does well. There is nothing to not like about him. His skills, his niceness, his warm attitude, he is someone to root for, big time. The nice things he said about Corley after Corley p...
if bradley can take it then im sure dulorme can.
You can't oversimplify. Bradley also took flush shots from Pac. Abregu is a solid step up for Dulorme, the problem I have with Abrague is he was badly hurt by Irving Garcia and David Estrada and Dulorme punches harder, more...

This will be a very good test for Dulorme.
