Abregu Targets Brandon Rios, Wants Big Fight at 147

Fresh from his TKO win over undefeated Jean Carlos Prada from Saturday night in Salta, Argentina - WBC #1 contender Luis Carlos "El Potro" Abregu (36-1, 29KOs) is looking for a big fight at welterweight.

Abregu has won seven in a row since losing a twelve round decision to Timothy Bradley in 2010. Those wins include victories over Thomas Dulorme and Antonin Decarie.

Abregu wants to get back on HBO and one fighter he would like to trade punches with is Brandon Rios (31-2-1, 23KOs), who moved up to welterweight in November and lost a twelve round decision to Manny Pacquiao. Abregu wants to join his countryman, Sergio Martinez and Marcos Maidana, by taking part in a major fight in 2014.

"I am 100% healthy and my only loss was to Tim Bradley and I feel that I am a better fighter now than when I faced Bradley. So I look forward to fighting again on HBO in the United States," Abregu said.
