Abraham: I'm More Than Happy To Fight Kelly Pavlik

By Ruslan Chikov

They were undefeated champions and division rivals at 160, but they never faced each other in the ring. Both have suffered defeats and they are now chasing titles at super middleweight. Abraham (34-3, 27KOs) is the mandatory challenger to WBO champion Robert Stieglitz. Pavlik (38-2, 33KOs) will return to the ring on June 8th against Scott Sigmon in Las Vegas.

A few weeks ago, Pavlik's promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank had mentioned Abraham as a possible opponent for Pavlik at 168-pounds. Abraham would love to get that fight.

"I would be very happy if I received such a proposal and 100% I would accept that challenge. Kelly Pavlik is a great fighter," Abraham said.

It would be a great fight, they should both go back down to 160, I think 168 is too big for both. Make it happen Bob.

Abraham always wanted to fight Pavlik. Pavlik didn't want any part of Abraham. that was when AA was still undefeated and Pavlik too. We all know how Top Rank is.

That would be a good comeback step up fight for Pavlik. After that he could start taking on the best.
