BoxingScene.com has heard the postponed super middleweight bout between Andre Dirrelll and Arthur Abraham will take place in Detroit's Joe Louis Arena on March 27. There is no information at the present on how the seats will be scaled. Most sports events at the venue are usually scaled from 16,685 to 21,800. Showtime will televise as part of the Super Six tournament.

The fight is a month away, which really tightens up the clock for the promoters to sell tickets. They were scheduled to fight next Saturday at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California. The fight took an unexpected bump when Dirrell suffered a back injury during training and needed a few extra weeks to recover.

Abraham-Dirrell is the biggest fight to take place in Detroit in a decade. The last significant event to take place in the area was 2000's heavyweight fight between Mike Tyson and Andrew Golota.

The previous location was considered neutral ground. Detroit is Dirrell's backyard, but that shouldn't be an issue for King Arthur. He went to Edison Miranda's adopted hometown of Florida back in 2008 and won that fight by knockout in four.

Let's hope that they go out and promote the hell out of this fight locally. It would be nice to see a decent sized crowd at the Joe Louis Arena for boxing again.
