Abner Cotto Decisions Hevinson Herrera, Undercard Notes

In a packed Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, Puerto Rico - lightweight sensation Abner "Pin" Cotto (13-0, 5KO's) outscored Colombian warrior Hevinson Herrera (15-7-1, 10KO's) in ten round unanimous decision.

"I demonstrate again that I am ready for the big challenges, Hevinson was a tough fighter but I outscored him, I made the adjustments during the fight and we won the fight" Abner Cotto said.

"Pin" Cotto retained his WBC lightweight Fecarbox tittle and won the WBB Americas lightweight tittle.

The fight of the night, Luis "Rocky" Cosme upset Juan "Cowi" Herrera by winning a unanimous decision in sirx rounds. "Rocky" Cosme improves his record to 8-2-1,3KO's.

In other results hot featherweith prospect Braulio Santos (5-0,5 Ko's) annihilated Pedro Hernández at 2:59 of the 1st rd.  Miguel"El Loco"Robles had a unanimous decision over Luis Angel Paneto. "The Accountant" Edgardo Sasso López KO'd Hiram Agosto at :48 of round 1.

 

Meanwhile Roberto Acevedo had a unanimous decision over Albert Cruz Jr, Luis Braña Jr. KO'd Ricardo Pérez at 2:34 of round 3 iofhis comeback fight. Janiel Rivera won a unanimous decision over Luis Diaz and Irving Hernandez vs. Juan G. Cruz was declared a draw.

Promociones Miguel Cotto and H2 Entertainment will present their series "Boxeo Boricua in Caguas : It's My Time" on Saturday March 24 and will be broadcast by Univision Deportes famous series "Solo Boxeo: Tecate" will feature hard puncher and undefeated prospect Jayson "La Maravilla" Vélez (17-0, 13KO's) , Jonathan Vidal (14-0, 8KO's) and the 5'10 Jr. Lightweight prospect Jefrey Fontanez (3-0, 3KO's).
