Sammy Vasquez Jr., the southpaw welterweight who was recently signed by Henry Rivalta, remained unbeaten on Saturday February 22nd in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He improved his record to 13-0 (9 KO 's) when he defeated Dominican Berlin Abreu by TKO in 4 rounds in the co-main event fight of “KO KINGS OF TOMORROW” presented by Iron Mike Productions.

Despite Vasquez Jr. visiting the canvas for the first time in his career in the second round, he recovered quickly and finished the round boxing and imposing his power. Later, the fight became a battle where the young prospect took control to prevail once again and extend his KO streak to 4.

Henry Rivalta, CEO at Rivalta Management, who signed Sammy Vasquez, was very excited after the fight.

"I'm really happy, Vasquez told us that he has all that is needed from a fighter to become a star in this game. We saw how after the unexpected knockdown, he stayed busy to impose his skills in a forceful way"

"Abreu came to show us in this fight that his record and his power are respectable, but he was on front of a fighter like Sammy Vasquez who has a huge profile and great determination. When we see these fights and how Vasquez Jr. won, we must understand that this sport is full of emotions and these are the fights that fans love to see in every event"
