A week ago, we reported that Mateusz Masternak (30-0, 22 KOs) might face Grigoriy Drozd (36-1, 25 KOs) in October, and now the fight appears to be moving forward. The high stakes battle of cruiserweights will happen on the Wladimir Klitschko-Alexander Povetkin undercard on October 5th at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia. The 33-year-old Russian is unbeaten since October 2006, when he was stopped by Firat Arslan. So far this year, Drozd has not fought, but in December he got a clear victory over Jean Marc Monrose (26-6, 16 KOs). More information will follow soon.
