As reported earlier by BoxingScene.com, light heavyweight contender Allan Green (32-4, 22KOs) has withdrawn from tonight's ESPN televised card. On Thursday he was six pounds over the contract limit of 180-pounds for his fight with undefeated prospect Eleider Alvarez (12-0, 8KOs) at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Green came in at 186-pounds, while Alvarez was two pounds under the limit at 178. Green was ordered to give up 20% of his purse, $3,000 dollars, to Alvarez.

Green claimed food poisoning as the reason for his withdrawal. Paramedics were called to his hotel room and then he was taken to a local hospital. Billy Dib vs. Mike Oliver is now the new ESPN Friday Night Fights main event. According to matchmaker Sean Gibbins, lightweight prospect Mark Davis (16-0, 5 KOs) is now being bumped up to a televised position and faces Roberto Osiobe (14-5-4, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bout.
