Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas - Jesus Soto Karass (27-8-3, 17KOs) outworked Selcuk Aydin (23-2, 17KOs) to a ten round majority decision in a bout fought at a catch-weight of 149-pounds. The scores were 95-95, 97-93, 97-93 for Soto Karass - the clear winner and there is no justification for the draw score.

Soto Karass now puts himself in position for another big opportunity. Aydin drops his second consecutive fight, with a twelve round decision loss to Robert Guerrero in his last outing.

Aydin came out winging big punches in the first minute. Soto Karass was targeting the body and trying to avoid Aydin's big shots. In the second, Soto Karass exploded with activity. He was putting his punches together and really taking the fight to Aydin.

Soto Karass continued to push forward with both hands swinging and landing on Aydin's head and body. Soto Karass continued to push in the fourth. Aydin was moving a lot and trying to counter, but his timing was a little off.

Soto Karass had rehydrated to the middleweight limit and he appeared to be twice the size of Aydin - and it showed in the ring, as Aydin's power did not have the same affect as it did on other fighters.

Aydin was catching Soto Karass flush with punches in the seventh and eight rounds, with the Mexican slugger walking right through the shots. Soto Karass was working, and working and working. Aydin was unable to push him back or slow him down.
