Former world champion Celestino "Pelenchin" Caballero (36-4, 23KOs) is now looking to challenge the new WBO featherweight champ Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26KOs). Caballero is going to return on March 30th in a final WBC featherweight eliminator against undefeated Viorel Simion (16-0, 7KOs) at the Arena Robert Duran in Panama. It will be Caballero's first match since December 2011. Garcia came back to the ring last Saturday in New York and captured the WBO crown from Orlando Salido.

"Hopefully Garcia has the guts to challenge me. Now that Garcia is the new world champion of the WBO, I hope he has me on his list of future opponents," Caballero said.

For a better part of last year, Garcia and Cabellero were ordered to face each other for the WBA featherweight title. The fight was postponed several times due to promotional, financial and venue issues. Eventually Garcia was tired of wasting his time and walked away from the fight. Caballero was then ordered to face Nicholas Walters, but the Panamanian boxer was not happy with his purse and instead vacated the WBA belt.
