Vazquez Jr. (21-2-1, 18 KOs), a former WBO super bantamweight champion, will fight Marquez (41-7, 37 KOs), a former IBF bantamweight and WBC super bantamweight champion,  for the WBO International super bantamweight title, scheduled to 12 rounds. “I know you”, Vazquez Jr. said to Marquez, “and I’m training for a big fight. I don’t underestimate you for your age as a lot of people do. I choose the short way and I am going to fight against Marquez”.

Marquez, a 37 year old veteran, said that “I've been training for a month and a half and I've come to Puerto Rico for a war. Puerto Ricans know who I am and know that I come to bring a great fight”.
