WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa (20-0, 16KOs) doesn't expect his promoter, Top Rank, to put him in the ring with WBO rival Juan Manuel Lopez (30-0, 27KOs), who returns on April 16 in Bayamon against former champion Orlando Salido. Gamboa looked vicious on Saturday when he destroyed Jorge Solis in four rounds. Gamboa, an Olympic gold medal winner, sent Solis to the canvas on five occasions.

Top Rank has been building a potential fight between Gamboa and Juanma for a while. If the fight with Lopez doesn't happen, Gamboa is already considering a possible move to super featherweight. Ironically, Solis was the WBA's interim-champion at 130 and moved down to face Gamboa.

"I think that Top Rank is definitely going to move away that fight [with Juanma] because they know he has no chance of winning. I'll have to move up a division to fight the best," said Gamboa
