According to the Jakarta Post, unbeaten WBA super featherweight champion Chris John has been hospitalized for the last two days with dengue fever. John is being treated at Telogorejo Hospital in his city of residence Semarang, states his wife Anna Maria Megawati.

“He looked healthy, but after an examination he turned out to be sick,” Anna said.

John will need a few more days to fully recover. He last fought on the Mayweather-Marquez undercard on September 19, winning a decision over Rocky Juarez in a rematch. Chris is scheduled to attend the WBA Convention in Colombia on November 16.
