CANASTOTA, NY - The 2015 Hall of Fame Induction Weekend featured a huge gathering of boxing stars of yesterday and today, who assembled to participate in festivities in Canastota.

The four-day celebration officially began with the Opening Ceremony on Thursday and closed with the Parade of Champions and the Official Induction Ceremony on Sunday.

Living inductees who came included heavyweight champion Riddick “Big Daddy” Bowe, lightweight champion Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, light flyweight champion Yoko Gushiken, manager Rafael Mendoza, referee Steve Smoger, journalist Nigel Collins and broadcaster Jim Lampley. Featherweight champion “Prince” Naseem Hamed was not able to attend due to a medical illness concerning his wife, Eleasha Hamed.

The Induction Ceremony also honored posthumous inductees in Masao Ohba and Ken Overlin the Old-Timer category and John F.X. Condon in the Non-Participant category.

An impressive list of over 40 boxing stars from the United States and abroad were present, including “The Raging Bull” Jake LaMotta, Nino Benvenuti, Michael Spinks, “Irish” Micky Ward, William Joppy, Ray Mercer, George Chuvalo, Peter Manfredo Jr., Pipino Cuevas, Ruben Olivares, Buddy McGirt, Aaron “The Hawk” Pryor, Winky Wright, Sergio Martinez, Fernando Vargas and Amir “King” Khan.
