The Man Who Was Born To Punch

Opportunity Knocks for 12 fighters who appear on the Simone Maludrottu vs Ian Napa support card at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre in London on Friday 9 March.

Maludrottu and Napa meet to decide the European Bantamweight title on a card that includes the much hyped fifth professional appearance of Scott Belshaw, "The man who was born to punch."

Belshaw 4-0 (4 KO’s) meets Paul King 5-13-1 (1 KO) over four rounds and the 6’ 7” Irish heavyweight is sure to be focused on nothing but his 32 year old opponent.

The gifted young man knows that boxing is one of those sports where no matter how much forethought and preparation has gone before, just one killer punch can shatter a lifetime’s dream.

A talented modern day heavyweight has the potential to walk a gold paved path; but always on the condition they guard against the ever present possibilities of physical meltdown.

Belshaw, 21, knows he has time on his side to achieve the dream of plying his trade on the World scene.

The Irishman realises that at this early stage of his career there is no room for error but this formidable fighter, with the increasingly impressive record, has the mind frame that many believe will take him to the top.

"I love knocking people out and I love the buzz of the ring," said Belshaw.

"There is nothing greater than knocking a man to the canvas and knowing afterwards we will still be friends. I am fully aware of what will be coming in my bid for the very top honours."

Belshaw, the man known as "The White George Foreman," weighs in for his next step up the boxing ladder at FTM Fitness Factory, Lord Clyde Pub, 9 Wotton Road, Deptford SE8 5TQ.
