Boxing News online have reported that Liverpool's David Price has hooked up with London-based trainer Adam Booth as the popular heavyweight bids to get his career back on track after back-to-back losses to Tony Thompson earlier this year.  Price was stopped in two and five by the American in February and July respectively, but he still holds the British title and Booth obviously feels that the 30-year-old contender still has long-term potential.

It means that Booth now has two heavyweights on his hands, and Price, 15-2 (13) will no doubt reap the rewards of training alongside David Haye, who takes on Tyson Fury in February.  There were rumours that Manchester's Joe Gallagher was also in the running to replace Franny Smith, Price's former trainer, who paid the ultimate price in the wake of the second loss to Thompson, but it is Booth who has got the nod.

The Board have mandated a clash between Price and British rival Dereck Chisora, now the EBU champion, with purse bids called for last week and expected back in for November 13, with the fight pencilled in to take place early in the New Year should terms be agreed.  It is a fascinating clash in prospect, should they both decide to opt for it, and especially now that Price's coaching situation is clear.
