Recently on I had the chance to discuss the main event of the Atlantic City main event between Patrick Majewski (20-1) & Jamaal Davis (14-8-1) LIVE worldwide on GFL.tv this later tonight, with promoter J. Russell Peltz.  Majewski-Davis is the definition of a crossroads fight.  Majewski, an up and coming prospect, is looking to position himself for a world title fight.  While Davis, hasn't had the easiest road to this fight.  Every time Davis has stepped up in competition he was unsuccessful but never a walkover for his opponent.  We had the pleasure of HOF promoter/matchmaker J. Russell Peltz breaking down thew fight for us.

"Majewski is ranked 9th in the world now by the WBC and 15th by the WBO.   In my opinion he has never really been promoted correctly.  He hasn't been pushed and he has won 20 out of 21 fights."

"You've seen the popularity of a guy like Adamek in North jersey.  You see the popularity of Fonfara the Polish Light Heavyweight in Chicago.  Also the heavyweight Szpilka that just knocked out Mike Mollo.  These guys are drawing 4 or 5,000 people to a fight.  Adamek of course more than that.  Majewski hasn't been pushed like that.  If we get behind him and push him he can be a draw himself in South Jersey."

"He doesn't have a cakewalk with Jamaal Davis.  His manager Arnold Robbins turned this fight down for 4 straight weeks.  Until it was a choice of fighting Davis or not fighting at all."

"Davis has the style to beat Majewski because he can move and counter punch.  The negative is he doesn't have the physical body strength coming from Jr. Middleweight where he is not a big puncher.  He will have to hang in there with Majewski who keeps coming forward and coming forward."

"He will have to cut Majewski up because he does cut easily.  He was cut pretty bad his last fight with Latif Mundy but Mundy was gassed after the 6th round.  Majewski went on to win a Majority Decision."

"Davis has been on a treadmill to nowhere his whole career.  This is another crossroads fight for him and he has never won any of them.  He didn't beat Rosado.  He didn't beat Peter Quillin.  He didn't beat Joel Julio.  He needs to win one of these kinds of fights to validate his career. There is a lot on the line in this fight and it's intriguing!"

Also Chuck Mussachio will be fighting Lionell Thompson in the co main event, in another crossroads fight for both fighters.  Rounding out the card is Anthony Prescott vs. Saud Clark, Elvis Rodriguez vs. Anthony Burgin, Tommy Garcia vs. Joshua Reyes, and Greg Jackson vs. Gilbert Alex Sanchez.  All of these exciting match up will be available LIVE worldwide on GFL.tv this Saturday night!  For more info on the event click the link below:
